Each puppet created by Andy is a one-of-a-kind, custom built character
that incorporates top quality materials and tested methods. Andy's puppets
are designed to be both sturdy and performable, made by a professional
puppeteer for professional puppeteers.

If you are interested in commissioning a custom puppet, please take a
moment to familiarize yourself with some frequently asked questions:

How much do custom puppets cost?

The price of a custom puppet depends on the specific needs of each
individual character. Once the specifics are discussed and determined, an
estimate is created based on material costs and an hourly labor rate.

When you consider that a standard-sized, moving mouth hand puppet
usually takes between 50 and 60 hours to create, you begin to understand
that custom characters are costly. However, affordable pricing is offered in
comparison to larger studios and shops.

When will my puppet be ready?

From concept to design and patterning to construction, a new character
generally takes 3 to 4 weeks to complete. Commissions are accepted on a
first come, first served basis. A 50% deposit is required before work begins.
Rush orders are occasionally available for an additional fee.

How long do the puppets last?

Custom puppets are created using premium materials such as nylon fleece
(to reduce seam visibility) and reticulated foam. They are designed to be
attractive and durable. However, normal wear and tear should be expected.
Generally speaking, though, the overall life of the puppet depends on
how often the puppet is used and how well it is cared for by the performer.
